What and where is Hideaway Bahamas?

                  Situated on the eastern shores of Grand Bahama,  a 30 minute drive from the International airport and Port Lucaya.    A private development of  luxury homes, and  Deluxe Suites.   All built in the Bahamian style and set in lush tropical gardens adjacent to the beach..   

 

Is this a gated community?

             Yes with 24 hour on site security.

 

What size homes  are available?

             Hideaway offers many different floor plans from 2 bed up to 6 bedrooms.   Ranging from 1200 sq ft up to 6000 sq ft.            

 

How does the pricing work?

             Step 1 & 2. Select your lot. (Consider which home design is best suited) .

             Step 2.    Meet with the architect to tweak your plans to your dream home

            Semi-custom options are available as well as designer furniture packages.            

How soon could I take occupancy?

             Once plans are finalized 6 to 8 months depending on complexity of the construction..

 

Is there a Home Owners Association?

             Yes there is a Homeowners Association. The Homeowners are encouraged to get involved in the running of the association. The goal is a well run development with reasonable maintenance fees.

 

Who is the Developer?

             The developer of Hideaway Bahamas is a Bahamian Registered private Corporation. The developers are regularly on site and available for any questions.

 

Do you have financing available?

             Yes!   By special arrangements with RBC Royal Bank of Canada and other top lending institutes financing is available along with flexible payment schedules.

 

What are the taxes and fees?

             Grand Bahama is a tax free paradise.    You do have a stamp duty. A one time fee on your property. Attorney Fees have been negotiated at 2 1/2% of the property purchase value. The Bahamas rely on income from duties. There is therefore no income or capital gains or inheritance tax.

 

Can title be transferred?

             Yes, the properties are fee simple/freehold, so there is an easy transfer of title.

 

Can I get insurance for my property?

             Yes, the homes are fully insurable for rebuild as well as hurricanes and contents.  All the units are built and designed to withstand Hurricane force winds and have been fully tested and comply with building regulations.

 

What amenities are available?
